Highett West Cricket Club is committed to providing a safe environment for all to enjoy the game we love, furthermore we acknowledge that maintaining the welfare of children requires a higher level of attention and care.

Highett West Cricket Club has adopted Australian Cricket’s policy for Safeguarding children and young people. This is a national policy adopted by all state and territory Cricket associations and clubs.

In compliance with this policy we make the following available to you:

With the following in mind we have appointed a Child Safety Officer, their purpose is:
  • To act as a first point of contact for all safeguarding children and young people matters.
  • To champion the child safety message and ensure that the club has adopted Australian Cricket’s Policy for Safeguarding Children and Young People and that the club implements practices and procedures in line with Australian Cricket’s Looking After Our Kids Code of Behaviour.
The Child Safety Officer must at all times hold a valid Working with Children Check or Blue Card.
