Our Senior Women’s Program
After more than three decades, women's cricket is returning to Highett West Cricket Club.
Established in 1962, HWCC has a proud history of community cricket and is excited to build the next chapter of that legacy through the relaunch of our Senior Women's Program. Competing in Cricket Southern Bayside (CSB), the Burra's are committed to providing a welcoming, supportive and competitive environment for women of all ages and skill levels.
Competition
HWCC Women will be competing in the CSB senior women’s competition. We cater to a broad mix of players - from experienced cricketers to developing talent - all while fostering a strong club culture both on and off the field.

Every player will have the opportunity to develop their skills, contribute to the team and help shape the future of our Women's Program. Whether you're an experienced cricketer or picking up a bat for the first time, commitment, a positive attitude, willingness to learn and wanting to have fun are valued above all else.

Training
Senior training is held at Peterson Street Reserve, Highett, with our main session on Wednesday night from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm and an optional session on Thursday nights with the Men from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, with selection to follow (includes dinner), weather permitting. All are welcome and encouraged to join!
Registrations
It is now a requirement that all players must be registered via PlayHQ to participate in the season. New players or returning members with questions can reach out via hwccsecretary@yahoo.com.au.
Facilities
Our home ground at Peterson Street Reserve isn’t just great for cricket - it was even featured on the AFL’s Instagram as one of the best spots to watch local footy (we agree).
With a quality wicket, well-kept outfield, and a lively community vibe, it’s the perfect place to play and watch cricket.
